Vice President – Sales & Ticketing, Big 12 Conference
Sean Desmond joined the Big 12 staff in 2023 as Vice President – Sales before being named Vice President – Sales & Ticketing in 2024 where he develops, generates and increases revenue streams for the Conference while having oversight of sales and marketing proposals, materials and collateral.
Desmond comes from the American Athletic Conference where he was the General Manager for Strategic Partnerships serving as the head of Learfield’s sponsorship sales efforts for the league. While at the AAC, he helped lead the Conference to back-to-back sponsorship revenue growth years in 2021 & 2022. In 2021, he signed the first presenting partnership in the history of the American’s football championship.
Before his time with Learfield and the American, he spent four years as an Account Executive for season ticket holder retention for the Boston Red Sox. He managed 1000 Red Sox season ticket accounts, including corporations and team partners while being responsible for the yearly renewal of a multi-million-dollar book of business. Desmond assisted in the creation and implementation of the club’s digital ticketing strategy and season ticket holder events.
Desmond graduated with Bachelor’s degree in Communications in 2013 and received his Master’s degree in Athletic Administration from Endicott College in 2014.
