The Levy Restaurants team at Ford Field, in collaboration with the Detroit Lions organization, is committed to staying at the forefront of providing innovative technology solutions that enhance the hospitality experience for their guests and clients. With the aim of streamlining and elevating premium food and beverage (F&B) services in their suites and loge sections, the team embarked on a journey to test various point-of-sale (POS) and tablet-based technologies. During this process, they made an intriguing observation: the most frequently used feature was the “call attendant” button, as suite holders consistently struggled to locate their servers. Therefore, they decided to look further into technologies that provided guests with the ability to easily call for service.

Just before the start of the 2022-23 NFL Season, the Kallpod team introduced Listo, a new web-based workforce management platform. More specifically, Listo is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution designed for optimizing workforce communication and task management. It seamlessly connects fans and venue operators to service staff with a single click on any smart device. Addressing another challenge faced by the Ford Field team, Listo simplified the experience for fans by consolidating the multiple QR codes, which the venue used for fans to access certain information, into one. This single QR code grants access to various resources, such as food menus, TV guides, and stadium/game information, offering a more seamless and intuitive experience for fans.

To utilize the Listo platform, operators login to their portal and configure the customized Listo buttons, which can either link to web pages or request assistance from staff, for different areas within the venue. Staff members, equipped with the latest Samsung Galaxy smartwatches, are assigned to specific request buttons corresponding to their assigned areas. Fans can easily access these request and resource buttons by scanning a unique QR code in the desired location using their personal devices. This enables them to request services or browse customizable web link buttons (ie menus, loyalty programs, promotions, and more). Operators benefit from Listo’s suite of analytics, task management, and live dashboard tools, which collect data from fan requests and staff responses. This data empowers operators to optimize labor allocation, improve operations, and enhance service delivery.

Impressed by the capabilities of Listo, the Levy’s Team at Ford Field eagerly adopted the platform for deployment in their suites, loge sections, and even back-of-house operations just prior to the 2022-23 season. Throughout the year, they logged over 1,200 service requests and recorded more than 1,100 link clicks on Listo. The Levy team was delighted with their initial experience using the platform. Notably, each fulfilled service request generated a minimum of $100 in F&B revenue. They also praised the “Call Supervisor” button on Listo, describing it as an invaluable tool. In the end, they found Listo to be a worthwhile investment, as it significantly improved their service delivery, labor operations, and created new sources of revenue. Given the success of the platform and the amount of value provided , the Levy’s team has even referred the solution to several other venues that now benefit from Listo’s technology solution.
