Brian serves on the Populous Board of Directors for the Americas, co-leads the Populous Live Performance Venues division, and is responsible for building the practice’s Brand Activation and Digital Entertainment segments. With a core focus on future-forward innovation, next-gen consumerism, and connective strategy in the live entertainment and hospitality industries, he masterfully creates opportunities for his clients by elevating their brands and businesses—amplifying engagement through immersive user experiences across all levels, design mediums, and interactive technologies.
He led the design and delivery of Comcast’s G4 Studios in Burbank, California—named Best New Headquarters by the Los Angeles Business Journal—and continues to guide entertainment venue strategy for Opry Entertainment Group and Ryman Hospitality. Brian also leads the expansion of Universal Music Group’s UMusic Hotels and Live Entertainment Venues across North America. He served as a lead project designer for T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, home of the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks, and the NBA 2K League’s Competition Broadcast Arena program. Additionally, he was project director for the largest esports venue in North America, Esports Stadium Arlington, as well as the groundbreaking Qiddiya City Esports Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia—recognized as one of the most immersive digital entertainment venues in the world.
His award-winning work has garnered international acclaim in publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Vox, and Fast Company, and has been featured on Cheddar and the Discovery Channel. He has delivered innovative design solutions for a global client roster that includes some of the world’s leading advertising agencies, Universal Music Group, Churchill Downs, the Olympic Games, the NFL, NBA, Major League Baseball, and top brands such as Adidas, Chick-fil-A, Pepsi, Comcast, Activision Blizzard, and Tencent.
A prominent public speaker, Brian has been featured six times at SXSW on topics related to futurism and design. In 2016, he was named to Building Design + Construction’s class of 40 Under 40.
