Chief Financial Officer, UBS Arena
Gary T. McAneney is a seasoned financial professional with over three decades of experience driving operational excellence and strategic growth across diverse industries, including venue management, franchising, and professional services. McAneney is currently the Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of UBS Arena, overseeing financial operations for not only New Yorks’s newest premier entertainment and sports venue, which plays home to the NHL’s New York Islanders, but for all of Oak View Group (OVG) owned and operated venues within its rapidly growing business development division.
Prior to joining OVG, McAneney served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Global Solutions at ASM Global in West Conshohocken, PA, beginning in 2019. While at ASM, he was responsible for driving growth, profitability and operational efficiencies across more than 330 venues worldwide. He played a key role in developing business strategies to enhance contract profitability and best practices that improved venue contribution margins in areas including event income, food and beverage and sponsorships.
While in his 21 years at SMG, McAneney rose from Facility Accounting Manager to Senior Vice President of Finance, playing a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial framework, leading M&A efforts, and partnering on major client negotiations. Gary also served as President of Duck Donuts Franchising Company, where he drove the brand’s
expansion from 35 to over 225 locations, including its first international ventures. A Certified Public Accountant, McAneney began his career at ARAMARK and Fidelity Bank.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business Administration from Ursinus College and has pursued graduate coursework at Drexel University and St. Joseph’s University.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Gary served on the Board of Directors at Bishop Shanahan High School and is an active community volunteer, high school football referee and mentor. Gary is married with 4 adult children and resides in West Chester, PA.
