For the 50th Season Anniversary, San Antonio Spurs made several touchpoints over the course of the year to excite and engage Courtside Members to celebrate a successful Spurs Legacy.
We kicked off the season with gifting each member a commemorative box which included:
-A custom banner (which included each account’s personal or company name)
– Lapel pin with the 50th anniversary logo
– A viewfinder with retro images (21 pictures total)
– 50th Anniversary T-shirt
These boxes were delivered to each member’s home and was a surprise and delight.
During the holidays, we sent out an engraved bottle of wine which included the 50th anniversary logo and a small personal note.
On January 13th, 2023, Spurs paid homage to our historic run by returning to the Alamodome for a game which we nicknamed “Back Home in the Dome.” This game was a homecoming celebration which we wanted our courtside members to have a special keepsake of. Each member received a custom commemorative chair and ticket. The chair included the Back Home in the Dome logo along with their personal or business name. This commemorative chair has been a favorite our courtside members, and many have a special place in their offices and game rooms for this unique piece of memorabilia which is exclusive to courtside members during the 2022-23 season.
To heighten the experience in the courtside club, Spurs Basketball Alumni stopped by to “rub elbows” and meet our members. This experience was more enhanced than the typical meet and greet as former players stopped by different tables in the club, took pictures and had great conversation with the member which made the experience more intimate and personable. This also tied in to our 50th anniversary theme as we had players visit us from over the past 50 seasons. This was especially appreciated by our most tenured members and reminded our newer members of the wonderful legacy we have here in San Antonio.
