Vice President, Ticket Sales & Service
Derek Schuster was promoted to vice president, ticket sales & service in May 2025. He originally joined the Phillies in April 2003 to lead the newly formed premium sales team as the club prepared for its move from Veterans Stadium to Citizens Bank Park. Derek was promoted to director, season ticket sales in February 2008 and director, sales in March 2014. In August 2022, he was elevated to senior director, sales before assuming his current position.
In this role, Derek oversees the day-to-day operations of the ticket sales, premium, retention, and service teams. His responsibilities include long-term sales strategy, customer engagement initiatives, and communication with the club’s season ticket holders and fans. Throughout his tenure, he has led numerous ticketing, revenue, and service innovations that have been recognized by Major League Baseball as industry best practices.
Derek began his career with the Pittsburgh Pirates as an account executive and was part of the front office team that opened PNC Park in 2001. He also worked for Comcast-Spectacor, overseeing the ticket sales and operations department for the Philadelphia Phantoms, the AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers.
Born and raised in Pottsville, Pa., Derek graduated from Robert Morris University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is actively involved with the sports management program at his alma mater and has also served as an adjunct professor in sports marketing at Widener University.
