With more than 20 years of experience in the sports business industry, Doug Holtzman brings deep expertise in sponsorship sales and revenue strategy—helping global sports organizations, from professional teams to collegiate programs, improve how they present value and drive commercial outcomes.
At Sportsdigita, Doug supports more than 630 teams, partnering with revenue leaders to modernize presentations across sponsorship, ticketing, hospitality, free agency, draft, recruiting, and more—so teams can close faster, more confidently, and more consistently.
Doug has generated $100M+ in sponsorship revenue across the NBA, NFL, MLB, NCAA, and NBA G League, including roles with the Houston Rockets, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Rays, and IMG. He began his career at CAA (formerly SMG) and later led the sports division at Media Brokers International, one of the nation’s top advertising firms. As CEO of Ontrac Sports & Entertainment, he focused on revenue innovation through sports technology, including mobile apps, AR/VR, and beacon-based fan engagement.
Doug is passionate about developing future revenue leaders in sports. He currently serves with The Clubhouse, the KU Sport Management Program Board, Endicott College Advisory Board, the National Sports Forum Steering Committee, and the ALSD PX Global Council. Doug also volunteers as a youth basketball and softball coach and regularly contributes to industry conversations through sports business podcasts.
Holding a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Kansas and a Master’s degree in Sport Management from Northern Illinois University. He comes from a proud sports family—his uncle pitched 15 seasons in Major League Baseball, winning five World Series championships, and his father pitched in the St. Louis Cardinals organization. Doug lives in Brookhaven, Georgia, with his wife and their two daughters and is a proud Girl Dad.
