Strategic Communications Coordinator
Portia Cook is a Northern Colorado-based multimedia journalist, communications strategist, and public relations professional. A Colorado native and Colorado State University graduate with a degree in Journalism and Media Communications, Portia is a multi-award-winning journalist widely known throughout Northern Colorado for her work in media, storytelling, public engagement, and community-centered communications.
With more than a decade of experience, she has built her career around strategic messaging, internal and external communications, reputation & narrative management, media relations, and authentic storytelling. Today, Portia serves as the Strategic Communications Coordinator for The Ranch Events Complex in Larimer County, where she leads communications for The Ranch Events Complex Master Plan, one of Northern Colorado’s most significant regional development initiatives.
